Mehmet Utku Öztürk is a research assistant at the Department of Constitutional Law in Koç University Law School. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Law at Galatasaray University Institute of Social Sciences. He has a degree of Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Public Law at Galatasaray University Institute of Social Sciences (2012). He has graduated from Bornova Anatolian High School, Izmir (2004) and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Degree from Koç University (2009).
Mehmet Utku Öztürk’s areas of research interest include constitutional law, constitution making, parliamentarian studies, environmental law, and human rights law. He is currently a researcher in the TUBİTAK Project on “The Impact of the Right to Individual Petition on Constitutional Interpretation, Interpretation of International Law and the Turkish Judicial System: A Comparative Analysis of the Judicial Patterns of the Turkish Constitutional Court Case-Law between 2012-2017”.
